'Nanonoko' fik sin verdensrekord: 23.493 hænder på otte timer

Randy "Nanonoko" Lew vil i fremtiden stå noteret for sit eget kapitel i Guinness World Records.

Facts:

• Amtal hænder: 23,493

• Antal timer: 8

• Hænder pr time: 2936.63

• Hænder per minut: 48.94

• Sekunder per hånd: 1.23

• Optjent FPPs: 22,784

• Overskud: $7.65

PokerStars blog stillede  efter rekorden var i hus et par spørgsmål til Randy Lew - så nu kan du øve dit engelske lidt:

At any point did you have to go to the bathroom?
Randy Lew: I did actually have to go to the bathroom at one point, but I think it kind of...went away. I remember thinking, "Oh, God. I should've unloaded again." But, yeah, I didn't drink that much liquid.

When you were down $1,200, what were you thinking?

RL: I was like, ugh, I've got to chase those losses! I really was running horrible. But I was trying to stay focused like "You can't let this get to you." But I still played well and tried to play my best, and eventually it worked out. Twelve hundred was rough, though. It could've been game over, to be honest.

Was there any point that you thought, "Boy, I would rather just give up?"

RL: Well, no. See, throughout the process when I was playing, when I realized I was kind of losing a little bit, I was thinking of strategies to try and make up for it. I was constantly re-thinking my strategy while I was playing. Dustin was giving me some updates on how I was doing. If it wasn't to how I wanted, then I tried to re-think my strategy. Because, I know there were definitely some players out there who were attacking me a lot. So, I started playing attention. In the beginning I was just kind of like flowing through it and let the hands go by. Then I started to notice that these guys just think I play aces only. So, I had to take care of them.

There were tons of people back here watching you and talking. Could you hear those people saying, "Oh, he's down! Oh, he's up!"

RL: See, I'm not really good at blocking people out, but I could see everyone taking pictures, and I could hear everyone talking. I'm pretty good at multi-tasking, so even though I can't block out too well, I'm good at multi-tasking, so it wasn't so bad.

How does this compare to anything you did in the gaming world?"

RL: Wining APPT Macau was pretty big, and having this right after, those two things are on the top of my list at the moment, to be honest. This is a great feeling. I finished it. I had a crowd. Everyone clapped for me. I was reading chat while I was playing. I probably shouldn't have. But people were like "Go, Randy, go!" So, it kept me pumped, and it is a good feeling when people want you to win.

What's your next goal?

RL: Well, I don't know about another Guinness Record any time soon, but right now I'm still going to try and build on my tournament resume and try to get more wins.
